12/09/2009 Hello; A few weeks back I was talking with my friend Chris Shaw. We were talking about Christmas imagery you notice shortly after Halloween. Then we just started calling out stupid, silly things and just saying, "It Must Be Christmas". Chris said, dude you need to write a song about that. So that night I went home and recorded a demo. I sent it out to friends and got an amazing response. I felt a bit guilty cause it was not the best performance. So I re-recorded the vocals and asked friends, Jesse and Courtney to sing and play on it. So, here it is. You can hear it in it's entirety and also download the Mp3 with some bastard artwork that goes along with it (not really). What I ask from you in return for this free song is that you share this page with everyone you know and maybe consider donating to one of my three favorite causes. Peace and love, -Eric It Must Be ChristmasIn front of me, I'm one car backThere's a bearded man with a worn out sack He's ringing bells he's collecting tips He's got eggnog bourbon on his lips Halloween candy, stuck in the bowl Thanksgiving traffic stuck at the tolls DUI Stops walk straight and pass go Wishing for that first fall of snow It must be Christmas It must be Christmas Shiny lights strung up with care Cashiers dream with a vacant stare Babies screaming at the top of their lungs Red furry socks so carefully hung It must be Christmas It must be Christmas Suicide and bankruptcy Red and green hypocrisy They pretend for a false belief But no one gave to hunger relief no one cried when that stranger died no one screamed when the bankers lied no one questions third world genocide I watch TV and want to cry Words & Music By Eric W.
